Many people I've met in the puppet world say to always keep the first puppet you ever make. Well, this one is mine.

I built Humphrey back in 2001, and he's held up great over all these years. I got the idea for him after hearing Digital Underground's "The Humpty Dance" and pictured a big-nosed parrot performing it. This was the result.

His crowning achievement came when he co-hosted a children's reading program in the Washington DC area. He's been used sparingly since, but he's always at the ready in case I have need for him.
