This was definitely unique commission on multiple accounts. First it was the first time someone approached me on SoFurry for a commission but more importantly, it was a commission for bookplates! And, as you can see, our handsome wolf is quite an avid reader himself!

Now, what's cool with learning how to paint in overcast lighting is that you can then add whatever diffuse color you want in the scene and it'll still look alright - for example here I've put a blue light underneath him and yellow light above. That works only if the "base" underneath (overcast lighting look) is correct.
