One of my absolute favorite enemies from the first Pikmin game was the Mamuta. To me, they are one of the most unique enemies in the Pikmin series. They are a very peaceful creature who slams their hands on your pikmin, burying them, but it doesn’t hurt the pikmin but instead makes them flower pikmin if the pikmin don’t have flowers on their stim. It is stated the pikmin enjoy this and if you look at the Mamuta’s arms their wrists have the same patterns as the Pikmins’ Onions. So it is obvious they are connected to the pikmin. Sadly, you have to attack them and kill them simply because they are in the way. I also just like their design, it is cute and simple yet effective. It could also be because they have some similarities to the yokai Dromp and Swosh from Yokai watch.
