This is the first drawing of my first character - Phenoix, a brown dragon based on a photograph of myself taken in the early 2000s and named based on a photograph of a misspelled road-sign. As memory serves, this drawing was done as a surprise gift from the artist; the character was entirely her design (aside from details lifted from the photo it's based on), but I've had an affinity for dragons for as far back as I can remember, so it ended up being a really good fit for my teenage self.
