This drawing was the result of an Iron Artist commission special. The bulk of the art I'd commissioned of Calvin up to this point came from tabbiewolf and other artists with a similarly cartoony style, and this artist lent a lot to the character's design by drawing him in with slightly more "realistic" features and muscle definition. I've actually used this drawing as a reference when commissioning other non-cartoony artists, just for the shape of Cal's muzzle and face and the way an otherwise normally-proportioned body draws attention to his elongated torso and neck.

During the commission process, the artist aptly pointed out an inconsistency among the reference pictures I provided, and was kind enough to provide both a white-leg and reg-leg variant during the sketch-approval phase; the red-leg variant stuck and became a part of Cal's design permanently, and I'm still really glad the artist pointed it out in the first place.

This drawing was intended to be General, but with that imprint in Cal's briefs, I'd rather not risk it!
