Dunno why I didn't upload this a long time ago... it's been on my FA forever. Ah well... this is still one of my favorite pieces. I haven't been able to duplicate the results, and believe me, I've tried.
Traditional shaded base with some digital enhancement and regulation.

Good eye; I've had a lot of inspiration from Kentarou Miura, though it was my intent to simply stylize Gothic plate for the occasion. He usually gave good examples of how to maintain the functional integrity of armor while still making it look fancy.

Yeah Miura is definitely a favorite of mine, I'm always impressed with how easy he makes all the armor look (among the rest of the things he draws).

At first I thought he was just unfairly talented. He suffers for his art-- that's the mildest I can put it. The man worked himself to a heart attack, literally. Thankfully he survived the ordeal, but it gave me a very different view and a lot more respect for the man.

Yeah he definitely earned his respite with drawing that pissing stuff in that short 6 chapter thing he has going on, hahaha. :P
