Union Pacific (Oregon Short Line) #618

PereMarquette1225

Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1907, the engine began her career working for the Oregon Short Line as #1068. In 1915, the locomotive is renumbered 618, and remained in operation until her retirement in 1958, and was donated to the Utah State Fair for display. In 1969, the locomotive is given to the Promontory Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. Then, in 1970, the engine is leased to the Wasatch Mountain Railway until her 2nd retirement in 1990. The newly formed Heber Valley Railroad acquired the locomotive in 1992, and she began carrying passengers on a portion of the former Denver & Rio Grande Western branch line from Heber City to Vivian Park. Unfortunately, in 2008, the locomotive, along with former Great Western #75 (not to be confused with the Great Western Railway of the UK, mind you) are out of service with their 1,472 day boiler inspection and service pending completion.

The locomotive is part of the UP 2-8-0 consolidation pack that is found in trainzforge.webly.com.
C&NW passenger cars are found in the Download Station.
