Sofie came in to visit. We sat in silence for about an hour, just staring at each other.

The phone rang, making us both jump. It was for Sofie, and she covered her mouth in shock. It was Sergeant Jakki, she told her her car had been stolen.

She left again after that.

It was late that night when Khloe came in. I could smell her before she even got to the door. It's rare to see her in San Antonio Rodriguez, so I almost instantly drew the connection. She stole the car.

She said Sofie's passed out at Lu's bar. At least she's here. I thanked Khloe.

Dear diary,

Sofie came in to visit late in the day. She almost tripped on her way to me. She collapsed onto me in what I assume was a hug.

We hugged for what seemed like forever, I'm pretty sure she fell asleep. She was probably still coming back, she's a tiny woman.

I welcomed her embrace, and in her drunken haze, she started apologizing profusely. She apologized for so much, it melted my heart. For about an hour, we were just sitting in the room, hugging and crying.
