Some of you may know this feeling, when someone that you rely on, just doesn't care.
Like your parents, or one of them, someone that SHOULD care, but doesn't and leaves you alone, physical or emotional, and maybe if this person would have cared, they would have protected you.
And being protected as a kid, can change your life.
Seriously, if you have parents, who love you, be thankful.
A lot of teenagers say big things, like they HATE their parents, and this for really stupid reasons. (Argh, they took my phone for one week I fuckin' hate them, they are so stupid, who cares about me writing sms 24/7, stupid parents, it's not sooo expensive anyway.)
There are parents, who don't care at all, parents who abuse their children verbaly or physicaly, or they don't show any love, or look away if someone else harms their children.
So if your parents love you, be thankful if they care, when you are a grown up, you will understand them better.

Character Info: Cals father left when he was at the age of 5, his Mom never got over this, and wasn't really able to look after Cal, or anything at all, after her man left her. When his new stepfather appeared, things didn't got better, for he abused him. This is Cal thinking about, that his life would have been different, if his father would have cared for him.
