Coral first meets Simone as she comes to Adder Abbey. They talk and Coral enjoys talking to the stranger.

That night, Simone attempts to steal from the church but is caught by the guards. Coral, awakened by the noise, comes out to find Simone being taken away. Coral calls out to them, "What happened?"

One of the guards reply, "This -thief- was caught trying to steal from the church." The guard gestures to their prisoner.

"But I know her. I'm pretty sure she wasn't trying to steal anything. What did it look like she was taking?"

"She had this bag on her," the guard gives Coral a worn bag, containing various trinkets, some money and a gold ring.

"Oh, this stuff!" Coral laughs, then explains, "I let her have this. She told me she was alone and traveling and didn't have anything. I felt she needed something for her journey. She accepted it but I didn't realize she didn't want my help. You broke in to return these, right?" Coral looks at Simone, who nods. "See? It was a misunderstanding, If you could please let her go, and I'll take her and the stuff back to the abbey. I'm sorry for all the trouble, but thank you so much for keeping us safe."

The guards exchanges glances with one another, then say to Coral, "If that's the case, we'll let her go," to Simone, "Don't try breaking into anymore places it is a crime we don't accept here, even if you're 'returning' unwanted items. So try to stay out of trouble."

"Oh, ok, sir," Simone says demurely.

The guards leave. Simone and Coral return to the abbey in silence. Once there Simone ask, "Why did you save me?"

"Why shouldn't I? Everyone deserves a chance, and I believe you're a good person. And truthfully, we didn't need any of that stuff, so you can have. So it's not like I was lying to them either. Even if when you got that stuff isn't when they thought it was."

Simone continues to visit to the abbey, always meeting with her new friend Coral.
