At first, when I assigned ponies to all elements from mercury to lawrencium, I had einsteinium and fermium occupied by Starlight and Octavia together on a little boat in the place where Elugelab once stood – Elugelab was destroyed by Ivy Mike, the hydrogen bomb in which the two elements were first discovered. But I decided against that because I wanted each entry to stand alone. Starlight was chosen for 99 because she's very smart, an "Einstein".
