Added the yellow belly and the yellow eyes that Ekans had to Arbok. Everything else is as the original design one and I actually really like the yellow belly. At first it made them look like an Easter surprise though haha.
Not much commentary today though. Definitely think that Ekans and Arbok are pretty cute when not being treated like villains!

I'm going to full admit that most of it is a texture overlay (though I did make the texture myself). Basically make your scale pattern (I made mine white) put it on its own layer, set it to overlay, then use transform to reposition it/make it curve with the form, then use an eraser on low flow (Mine was at about 9%) and erase away the edges/pick and choose where you want it to be the most distinct. Alternatively, just draw it by hand on an overlay layer and then erase it away a bit to make it pop (Like Syndrome said in The Incredibles: When everything is texture, nothing is texture)

Now, I'll be honest and say this: I have no idea what you just said. I'm so sorry! I don't really do digital art. I took a crack at it, but I just couldn't figure it all out, because I'm old and too used to my colored pencils.
However, I do own a white gel pen, if the last bit of your description works for traditional media.

I do like the yellow accents that you added. It makes arbok look really cool!
