    It really is. This is a great attempt though! I find the trickiest part as far as rendering armor goes is making it look solid and 3-dimensional on the character. I try to break it down into shapes and planes and visualize how it lies on the subject and especially where the articulation is.

    Malachi also has such an exquisite color scheme.

      Thanks for the advice! And.. hahaha! I pick a handful of obnoxious colors and that usually ends up being my character's armor colors.

        I find using fantasy armor and armor from video games, while it isn't accurate in the slightest most of the time and shouldn't be the only reference, is a lot of fun and a very relaxing way to sort of get your "feet wet" when first starting to render armor.

        Oh pff, my main (that happens to also be my avatar on here) wears armor thats blue and yellow so I hardly find this palette offensive to the eyes! Quite the contrary, unless you're wearing something akin to a clown suit I always like to see nonstandard and inspired color schemes for characters outside the norm. One gets tired of seeing steel grey or red and black all of the time.
