THEY WEREN’T KIDDING WHEN THEY SAID THIS WAS HARD MODE. And I made this harder on myself by trying to make this an abstract piece sort of, kinda /lies down

And I might need to explain this a bit, watch me embarrass myself now: Kitty’s theme song for me is Silverchair - Straight Lines, because in my fics that I have never written but always think about he goes through a lot of shit, but eventually gets stronger over time. This song for years always came into my head whenever I thought of Kitty’s experiences but it wasn’t really clear until a couple of years back why. It’s just very much a song about having your identity striped down to almost nothing, but then coming up on top and more or less recreating your identity to be strong again.

For the drawing I just took the very first line of the song: “Breathing from a hole in my lung”. His hands are signing "Line" (poorly) because for a while he was actually mute, so I thought it would be a nice tie in there.

Okay I’ll go hide now. Kitty is like one of my oldest “muses” so I love him very much even though I’m a complete shit to him sometimes but it’s okay because he’s a shit, too. The end.
