No Yiff No Want Checklist (critique requested)

This was a passing idea I had. The sad thing is I find this very true no matter what furry website you go to. I feel in order to have your works seen by the general community, you have to create something based on what the "rules" states.

DISCUSS? I would like to know what you think of this.

I just hate that so much. I've been on a load of sites, mainly dA for a long time and barely have any watchers, then again other people submit blatant furry yiff and porn, even bloating gets more views than my stuff. *utter faceplant*

I think it's sad, but its a core concept our society as humans, not just furries, live by. we just happen to like things and would rather see that over something else. if you had the option of "A: seeing a movie you know has things you are interested in" or "B: seeing a movie that had some work put into it, but has nothing you like and would actually probably bore you"; which would you choose?

though that shouldn't stop people from respecting others works and efforts. That's my biggest problem. I know many artists should be praised and given their dues when they perform so well (you're art in particular is really well done and magnificent, by the way. I just happen to not like breast so much ^^: sorry. ), but it's just the way of the world and nothing can really be done about that. In a perfect world everyone would receive the attention they needed, but then where is the fun in trial and error? ^^

God this is probably the most notorious thing about the furry community, or really, ANY art community.

My general goal is to not stoop down that level as to make sexual content. I ESPECIALLY don't want to be a single-fetish artist, as that would cause my attention to be narrowed down to a bunch of bozos that want more of that fetish rather than just normal artwork off of me.

In fact, I desperately want to eliminate any fetish that may be inserted in my artwork at all. I want it to be something that everyone can enjoy, rather than a narrowed down group. Especially without provoking disgust from the folks outside of that fetish.

If you ask me, I'm worried if this effort will pay off for me.

I used to be like you. I didn't want to draw any adult stuff, even fetishes or tame stuff. However there are a lot of people and clients willing to buy adult artwork more than clean artwork. I had to step out of my comfort zone and start doing adult stuff. However I make it clear that I'm mostly a clean artist and do adult stuff on the side from time to time.

i think your art style is too cute for naughty stuff although its great when you do ^^

I kind of feel bad for people with really narrow interests. I definitely have some firmly rooted preferences, but I also like to try new things. Oh, and I have never understood the obsession with popularity. Sure, I like a lot of the popular artists, but I don't like them because they are popular.
