I was thinking about how I didn't feel like drawing a Christmas/New Year/winter holidays picture this year and how I might need to redefine the idea of it all for myself. Because obviously it's a smashing time buuut if you happen to not feel like being all jolly at the time then you're pretty much screwed because you must be a grinch then, right? So inappropriate! And being jolly when you don't feel like it seems like a pretty shoddy time to me. So I was thinking how we have so many different celebrations at this time of year and surely there is a place for a holiday that is about trying to find something fun for each person rather than forcing everyone to have fun in the same way? So if this holiday season you'll feel good from sarcastic jokes or staying in your room and reading or sleeping through the whole thing - I hope you'll get to do that. :) This isn't about disrespecting people who do want to have fun, this is about everyone being happy the way they can.

I have a feeling Christmas might join Teague's Alastair resentment mailing list after this...

I had at least three ideas for winter holidays comics of different lengths but I didn't want to interrupt Piss Business and barely had time for this picture... I'm still unsure if I'll save them till next winter or make them in spring. Opinions? :P
