Things we learned today: do not try to recreate paint splatter with crayons, you'll look like a clot. You know the way that you are and the things that you do? Those are the ways of a clot.
But hey, this was fun! Almost as fun as being teenage mutant ninja turtles for Halloween. Donny, Mikey, Ray and Len - with names like that they are practically made for the job. I can't believe nobody picked it up when I uploaded the first picture with them but being realistic I don't think anyone cared.
In fact I won't be surprised if they do it every Halloween.
Actually, a kid named Ralph was supposed to be in Raymond's place (he's not in the picture I linked but he will be in an eventual sketchdump) but then I just realised he doesn't hang in that crowd that much. He's also their classmate but they don't quite "click", which is another story for later.
Their costumes are a homage to the turtles of my childhood when they all looked basically the same besides the colours and the unfortunate background is a homage to the current Nickelodeon show which I don't follow closely (mostly because I like my telly to be slightly darker and British these days) but I think it does a good job at keeping the franchise alive. I avoid the movies as I want to sleep at night - some stories are not made for live action, giant anthropomorphic turtles doing martial arts are high on that list.
And that's my pre-Halloween picture. I think I'll draw one more because there won't be a Halloween comic this year (unlike last year) but I'm on a roll with doodles.

OMG TMNT!!
Ahah this is too awesome!
And I totally agree, I remember them being great part of my childhood and when I think about TMNT that's the image I get.
I heard about the new TMNT movie but I refused to watch it because I looked at their designs and I was like "No way!" and "What, is that APRIL?!""How-""Not gonna watch this." lol
