"My boyfriend went to California and didn’t tell me why. I think it’s because I’m possessive and clingy and overbearing, but I don’t know how to control it. I’ve been a mess since he left, this is probably the first time I’ve been out of the house in a week. I picked up smoking, even though he hates it."

"What will you do if he doesn’t come back?"

"Scold myself for chasing him away. Maybe go on a reckless run of one night stands. Maybe date a few guys who I’ll never be able to connect with because I’ll always be comparing them to him."

My fiance gave me the idea of using our characters and our long-running stories and character development in the style of the Humans of New York blog (because they almost all live in nyc) and it got me really excited. There'll probably be more of these, but I dunno how many will get completed. For now, though, sketches are a good enough start.
