pom poko a movie I really enjoy :3 (in japanese!)
there is so many laughing moments because it's so weird XD
but when it comes to myth, stuff an't logic :P
( and tanuki art is one of the weirdest art I seen ><)
it's actually really deep at some moments.. and really sad ...
but so kid friendly that it's hard to really react when characters actually dies.
There's a really good point with the movie... the sad thing is that animal is
still just "stuff" in japan... or food ..
(tanuki balls and meat on the meany)

To look at the normal tanuki and the statye one.. do I have problem with how
the creator thought that is how a tanuki looks like ...
(tho there is lots of meanings in the creating, lik "fat = having a good life")

Of course some tanukis will pop up in my story :3
