I think as far as the application of watercolor goes - it looks good. I like the splash of color in the background - it gives the effect that the animal is traveling through sun-dappled foliage. As for the wolf, I think the amount of detail in the wolf is appropriate to that in the background, and leaving the lower right-hand corner a wash-out of white gives the piece balance. However, I feel like the wolf looks more like a dog. I'm not a wolf-anatomy expert by any means, but if not for the title, I think I would have assumed it to be a husky - it might just have to do with the soft, domestic nature of the way the eyes are painted. Overall, I think it's a very nice piece!
