Was a fun prompt. Essentially protogen lightning bending.
Initially wanted to go for a martial art inspired pose because Avatar does elemental mages best.
Ended up not finding any reference that seemed really fitting so started doing a bunch of silly poses until I found this one I liked.
Somewhat inspired by how I'd picture someone ordering a catapult volley in an over the top totally historically accurate movie.
Because that's about how powerful calling down lightning must feel.
Here's the initial sketch and 2 scrapped ideas.
Vector liked last one best I think they picked right looking back.
First one was more martial art not enough magic, second was too precision evocating, last one had the get shrekt, blam energy that fits lightning best imho, also a more readable pose than #1.
