My half of an art trade with BlankEye on deviantArt, featuring their wonderful character Hammerfaust (she was so fun to draw), and random jets.
The funny thing is that I didn't actually look at any beforehand. XD I mainly got inspired by the end credit art for the two Captain America movies, and by the covers for the All Hail Megatron volumes. :)
I'm sure that's where they got their inspiration from. The Library I work at has a local history room and there's a huge book of WWII posters that were donated to us on display. So many have eye-catching designs like this! :)
Oh cool! :D The central branch of our library has a room on the top (at least, the highest public-access) floor, but I've never been up there. My sister has, though, and she said it was really interesting. It's divided into different rooms.
There's a lot of interesting and eye-catching designs from various eras.... Sometimes I wonder why they don't try to interest high-schoolers with THAT sort of thing for art classes. Or if they do, I've never heard of it. XD
True...in my art classes it was all paint-paint-paint. Paint from a photo of yourself, paint a still life.........too much painting! lol
Your Library sounds pretty awesome, too! Usually if it has multiple floors...there's cool stuff hiding somewhere! :)
Yes... 'paint a landscape, children!'
'What sort of landscape?'
'Any landscape!'
'But how do I do it?'
'You release the song of your soul.'
'???? *paints*'
'That is not the song of your soul, child!'
'You said any landscape!'
The appearance calls to mind a Roman coliseum. :)
That is so very true. XD
If I could paint the "song of my soul".............it could turn out quite scary indeed! lol
Our old Library was a Carnegie building, it had all the stonework and columns. chuckle The new Library is much more modern and can handle the internet (the old one couldn't! lol).
XD I think mine would be a mix of creepy (even though some things I have been told are creepy don't seem creepy to me, like the French film Fantastic Planet), bright, robots, mythology, and probably a bunch of opportunities for crass jokes. XD Because dear god I don't do them nonstop, but I enjoy the heck out of them. XD
Ooooh.... Both sound beautiful, but dear sweet heavens, no internet? That's a horrible thing.
'Don't go to other planets. None of them have wifi'. XD
I'll remember to leave my wi-fi devices at home when I travel! ;)
Yeah...because of the structure and age of the building, it was nearly impossible to hook all the wiring up inside the old building for reliable internet. Without that...Libraries can't function in today's modern world. Pretty much why the new one needed to be built! :)

As always...love your TF art! This is a great revision of all the old WWII posters, it looks fabulous! :)
