He joked around and 'misbehaved' a little too much around Chief Lance, who really doesn't like robots, so Lance decided to remind him of a robot's place in the world... below humans. So this would be Finnegan before he gets branded with the police symbol (of their world), where he's being reminded that he's only alive, moving, and talking because humans allow it.
