The Soul Peddler is not only a rare monster, but also a Shopkeeper! This guy spawns every few days in the Dark Swamp.

Players can buy items from him at a +10% cost than in town. (Useful if you're out in the field for a while and can't make it back without dying.) But they can also sell items to him for +5% more than Town run shops.

However, where he becomes different than just a field shopkeeper, is the fact he is the ONLY way to obtain a Shadowed Band used to tame the Spirit Fox! And it costs an ENOMROUS 2.5 MILLION GOLD! DAYMN!
