Plague Hounds, Carrion Hounds, Disease Dogs; these infamous creatures of the Dark Swamp have many names, and are held in utter hatred by much of the populace. These pack animals are abominations of mangled flesh and organs, and are driven purely with the act of feasting on rotten, fresh or dead meat. No one is sure where they come from, as they seem to spring up from the very ground... Odd. They seem to share this with other flesh likes horrors in the region.

Rarely they can be seen outside of the Dark Swamp, but these encounters are incredibly rare and often do not remain long. As light is one of the largest weaknesses, causing them to deteriorate at incredible speeds into a mound of goo.

Their attitude is best described as unpredictable, as they can go from docile and neutral, to highly vicious.

When hunting after Prey (Which is anyone), they often will not rest until they devour the individual or target. The only way to stop these abominations is by killing it. However, they say a secret lays in Mages adept with Control or Necromancy to be able to temporarily Tame these beasts. However this is very unpredictable as the beast can break out and attack at any moment.

Carrion Hounds are often seen in packs of 3-5, and oddly are quite frail. Their real danger comes form the variety of horrible poisons, toxins and diseases laced in not only the goo their constantly excrete, but their saliva. Making their bites or looting from them incredibly dangerous. (When looting them, it is advised to have gloves.. srsly. It's gross.)

They drop a random assortment of odd items. Rotten meat, bones, parts of other animals in the region, and various shiny treasures.

*Note: I didn't list it as mature.. as it's not blood.. It's diseased goo. I don't see anything overly sensitive here. I've seen worse from WoW's abominations.
