This image was taken during my attempt to make a cloth bound journal for a Halloween costume. Sadly it was lost. My next attempt will be with better material since I want to use this idea for my LARP character on the field and for added realism.

The original was done by spraying a 100% black cotton shirt with bleach after being placed in a container with water, cardboard from an old sketchbook, and hand sewn with white cotton thread. Once the pages were sewn in they would have been computer paper.
