O my love of blackest night
From dreams I wake with your bitter kiss
In comparison I'm just a blight
Your words, tho dark, fill me with peaceful bliss
My heart yearns for your tender touch, my love
The sun is falling, owls and wolves gather
They sing for us! voices rising above!
A wondrous night to be together!
Bats dance like butterflies in the star sea
Shadows grow as the light recedes swiftly
The thick crimson blood shall become your tea
Behind me you crept, walking silently
I lend my neck to you on this very eve
Love after death is what I believe
An old poem I did for my English class in High school.
