The end of last year was a bit of a rough time and so I needed a bit of a break in january.

Two things came out of it, one being the visual novel, and even before i started that one I spent way too much money on oil painting supplies. ( I swear i think all in all I'm down like 800€ all together for it at this point.) and patrons got to see me figuring all that stuff out with some videos about unpacking, varnishing, studio tour and whatnot.
And well, by now the paintings are potentially (hopefully) dry enough to actually varnish! So here we go, this one is painting #2, painting #1 isn't dry yet because i slathered it a bit too thickly.

A lion. Rawr.

Oils on canvas board, 18x24cm

Shit's just expensive.100 for the easel, 35 for the brush cleaner, 50 or so for the varnish, glass palette, colours etc. it adds up quickly, especially at the beginning when you try to bang out all the little annoyances and figure out what you need.
