The thing about Marcel, see. He's not just some goat, but he's not a Satyr either. He's just got a little bit of Fae magic in him, and it affords him some abilities. One of which is a deep connection with all things growing and green. With a little concentration he can bring sick plants into health and bloom, with some heavier work and perhaps a few runes he can call up life from bare rock. As seen here, he's found himself sheltering from a storm and is making his temporary home a little more hospitable. Even when he's gone, the plants will draw water up from the deep and that cave will forever more be an inexplicable green spot in the desert.
