This was an unfinished piece in the same vein as my Ciretiko picture, but despite all the effort I put into this one I ultimately think I overkilled it and wanted to start again. Some things look great and some things look so subpar I don’t think I could polish them into salvation. And seriously… sand. I fucking hate having to paint dunes, I learned. Maybe a second glance will yield better results but I have serious bitter memories from this pic for that.

It has plot relevance this time, at least. Consider this sort of the halfway mark in the story, almost exactly. Kelly, Nuran and Theo have run into some seriously bad times are travelling into the frontier, a huge wasteland desert, because they’ve been told some kind of all knowing Seer is awaiting Kelly there, to unearth Kelly’s destiny and all that. And just as they’re starved, tired and fighting amongst themselves, the myth-like being chooses to confirm it’s presence for them in a spectacular manner.
