Since Kelly faints just a few seconds after seeing him, this is technically the first Kanyan character Kelly gets a proper introduction to. While said beginning is a bit rocky, Benita's ultimately a bit of a mentor figure to Kelly and teaches her a lot. I've often described her as the Obi-Wan equivalent.
