Hell, even just some common sense would be nice.

Kale and Kitty mostly like to fuck about and do nothing all day. Turns out, they are able to do this because Kale is a stupid good blade smith with amazing turnaround. On top of this, she's a fast talker (learned from her merchant father), so whenever she's strapped for cash, she just talks her way into some work. Then they can go back to fucking about.

I'm sure that glowing symbol of the Forge God Fucina has nothing to do with any of this...
