Kalelle [Kay-luh-lee], aka Kale

Kale is Kitik's best friend, and gets her into all sort of trouble, enthusiastically encouraging whatever bird-brained scheme she comes up with, much to Lawrence's frustration (more on him later). Her father is a merchant, and she's picked up some of his techniques to get what she wants. She's also obsessed with tattoos, though most of her current ink is covered. She wears one of Kitik's feathers as a token.

The Koswai share an island continent with the as-yet unnamed centaur race, and often work as dock labourers and couriers. Their ears are long and pointed like Lueans, but whereas both sides of elven ears curve upward, centaur ears instead curve symmetrically, making a more rounded shape. Little else is currently known about them.
