Sometimes I'll do artwork as trades for characters that I particularly like. Because as much fun as it is for me to make up characters (and I do LOVE doing that), it's fun to see other people's ideas and all. And doing artwork for other people can be fun because they come up with such fun ideas or have such interesting characters. This is one of those.

This is Hensel character Rhenus. He's apparently a creature known as an Aphex. I have no idea what that was, but it looks really cool! I had artistic freedom with the pose and all, but there was a lot of inspiration on his character page here to get inspired by. Conspiring, heir to the throne, I instantly decided to go with a chess theme.

Overall, other than the foot being cut out of the picture, I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Definitely fun creating it. And I got a cute lil' critter adopt out of the deal. I consider that a win-win. ^_^
