Coldplay has always been such an inspiration to me. I’ve grown up with their music, it’s helped me through thick and thin, gives me inspiration when it comes to art, and there’s just so much meaning in each of their songs that make me feel incredible feelings. 

And I have never come across a band like Coldplay that his given me this feeling and has made me appreciate music.

But Chris Martin himself has really made an impact on me. Especially after hearing a snippet of their new song ‘O’ (which is linked above, after the quote). It caught me off guard as soon as I heard a minor interview going on over top of the song. And ended up bringing me to tears.

I’ve watched a lot of his interviews, seen him live performing on tv, and this guy..just seems like the greatest person to have a conversation with. He’s so upbeat and positive, no matter what he may be going through in his life, super funny sense of humor, and a little awkward and weird at times, haha. But one of the greatest things about him is how amazingly talented he is. He’s not your typical musician. He’s a true artist, not just musically but visually and poetically. He’s always wanting to become better as an artist, always itching to improve and experiment, which is something I just adore about this band. I so desperately wish to aspire to be like the kind of person he is, which is why I’m happy to say he’s one of my greatest role models when it comes to who I’d like to be, artistically and in general. 

So, in spite of that, I decided to whip up a caricature of him since *gasp* I’ve never tried drawing him or any of the other band members before x’D 

But it was super fun! Haha (: And I honestly cannot WAIT for the new album’s release. Judging by what I’ve heard from it so far, it’s most likely going to be my favorite of theirs <3
