I treat designing characters like making abstract paintings on animal shaped canvases so i decided to treat it like that with an actual painting. Mixed success. i used an ink which is beautifully intense in coloration but which lays on itself like layers of glass, which means that without the direct shining light of the scanner illuminating this, it is really really dark.
