With New Year’s comes new ambitions, and I really want to get a better handle on fursuit-making. So I had the idea for this guy as a test run.

He’s supposed to embody a toony style more reminiscent of the 90s Hanna-Barbara line-up of Dexter’s Lab, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, and so on, hence the name Craig (after Craig McCracken). What you see is what you’ll get in the suit: the shoulders, elbows, knees, and ears are to be padded as sharply as possible. Pawpads don’t exist. Hands are four fingered and really tubular. Feet are boxy, with toes that aren’t separate.

I think he’s a really cool idea and, should the craftsmanship on his head be up to par, I’ll sell him to a more experienced (and taller) suit performer.
