Your Warmth ver. 2 by Nameless Name

Your Warmth ver. 2

Nameless Name

This was actually started in 2013, and began as this https://www.weasyl.com/submission/236093/your-warmth-b-w . Tonight I found it and worked on it some more, though the BG color was richer and warmer initially. So this file is not going to be the end result, but I enjoy this timber-esque look. I know that hand is awful. Working on it.

I'm not sure the hand itself is awful. Might just be the shading used on it

Yeah, it is definitely something to be fixed at any rate. Not that any of this really is or even looks finished. There is a difficulty in editing such an old piece though--my layers then were terrible, and there is not much room to work around them. Not for a lack of trying, of course.

If there's a lineart layer, I suppose you could start entirely over?

Yeah I don't think the hand is the problem, I believe it's the shading which makes it look awkward. The actual shape of the hand is accurate and looks fine, but I think the detailing on the knuckles and bones beneath the skin is standing out slightly too much but I understand finishing old pieces. It's hard to go back and fix something which is already a few years old. I usually don't bother finishing things which are too old.

This still looks beautiful, though. Their hair looks incredibly soft and the lighting is amazing. Your shading and colors are great and work out perfectly. This piece is so warm and you can feel the love pulsating here. I love the way her hand is actually IN his hair and the way they hold each other.

Its always so hard to go back and work on old work. You're brave for doing so LOL!
