Tyrrlin Mask

Crafted for Tyrrlin, this mask is of her gryphon character by the same name. The resin base was crafted by crystumes Crystumes, which I then modified and built upon. The jaw is articulated and moves with the wearer’s mouth movements. Faux fur, paint, acrylic eyes, resin base, and hundreds of dyed chicken feathers each hand trimmed and set in the crest.

The hood is unfinished in these photos and will look less saggy and strange once Tyrrlin finishes it to her fit.

I always get a bunch of questions on these masks, so I have this FAQ: https://docs.google.com/document/d/12uKp9dxlNCgshAm4e3pzgw3reS3Bm40aJDyyMtoGcKs/edit

For being newer to mask-making, you do some exceptional work! This makes me want to come up with an avian character just on the off-chance that I have an opportunity to commission you for a mask some day. :)
