Zorua's Moonlight Merriment

(Why am I even posting here? No one on Weasyl is even looking at my art anymore xD)

Wow, this looks NOTHING like I imagined this would turn out. This was drawn on paper, but colored digitally. A friend of mine (thanks NugatorySheep !) suggested I use cell shading, and I must say that it drastically altered (and improved) what I already had going. This barely looks like something I made, as this looks so different than everything else I've done. Like "The Rescue," this is one of those pieces that'll revolutionize how I do art in the future. There are inconsistencies in the coloring, as this was my first attempt at this style of shading and lighting, but I'm actually really happy with this (something I don't say often)!

I'm even going to go out on a limb and say this is my favorite piece I've ever done. Just...the whole mood of it makes me feel happy and peaceful. This Zorua and butterfly are by themselves in this serene land, with no one around to bother them. No burdens, no worries; just two care-free beings having the whole world to themselves in that moment of time. The simple shading and lighting add to this effect as well. I'm glad this was the piece I re-did.
