The Cockney Colonel- Vizs Count by Myriagonic

The Cockney Colonel- Vizs Count

Myriagonic

Name:Vizs Count
Nicknames: Vizs, Captain C, ‘The Count’, Colonel Cockney
Species: Human
Height: 6’ 4”
Affiliations: Sith Empire, Sphere of Military Defense, Dread Masters, Darth Vanguardius (Commanding Officer), Jensa Hadduk (Fiance, Darth Vendedicus), Aurek Brigade

Personality:

Vizs Count is every bit Vendedicus’s ideal partner. Courageous, loyal, but not above backstabbing in order to accomplish goals and talented in his brute-force approach to solving problems.

Like most commanding officers under Vanguardius’ command, Colonel Count is not a bloodthirsty maniac and tempers his skill with mercy when called for. He does not harbour anti-alien sentiments and, should a soldier display competency in combat, will usually handpick them for his squad regardless of their species.

He is, however, a rather gruff individual. With his cockney accent and deep voice he frequently will catch comrades off guard with his boisterous, loud exclamations. He is also prone to spew a string of odd regional expletives none of his squadmates seem to understand.

Bio:

Born on Ashas Ree in one of the lower-class families, Vizs was a strong, powerful youth who worked as a debt collector for the loan sharks before he was conscripted into military service.
When the war with the Republic came Vizs first saw combat in the Battle of Korriban where he and his squad were cut off and surrounded near the temple steps. With little cover Vizs and his men held the line for nearly an half and hour before reinforcements reached them. Later in the Battle of Eliad Vizs first began to gain his well-deserved reputation as one of the toughest soldiers the Imperials had to offer. During a protracted gunfight with Republic forces hiding out in a cave Vizs led a daring assault into their base. When the final group of Republic defenders and their padawan protector were all that was left Vizs mockingly challenged the Jedi to a match of fisticuffs. After some sarcastic convincing the Jedi agreed and, much to the surprise of everyone but he, Vizs turned the Jedi into an unconscious mess on the floor. The rest of the troops surrendered and his commanding Sith officer was pleased with his new Jedi prisoner.
After a string of other heroics on Eliad Vizs was promoted several times over until at the rank of Captain, Vizs was plucked for service as a member of the Imperial Guard where his operational history is far less clear. It is known though that during this time he was promoted to the rank of Colonel and he was assigned several missions alongside the famously pro-imperial Lord Vendedicus, who would eventually become his partner.

When the Dread Masters began their campaign against the Republic (themselves a instrument within the Emperor’s Power Base), Vizs Count was part of the resources bestowed upon them. Vizs’ role in the command chain was murky, the Dread Masters were linked, just as he was, to the Emperor’s will itself, so they essentially received orders from the same pool— however Darth Odium and the servants of the Dread Masters he was assigned under has no such link to the Emperor. In order to simplify his dealings with the Dread Guard’s CO’s Vizs chose to consider Tetricious/Odium his direct CO unless their orders were to contradict the Emperor’s will.
Vizs was placed as commander of Aurek Brigade, one of eight colonel-rank commanders in charge of the limited Dread Guard forces given to the Masters.

When Vanguardius took control of the Dread Guard forces and reorganized the ranks he placed Lord Vendedicus, his new apprentice and a close, nearly-romantic, friend of Vizs’ in charge of the Dread Guard Brigades.
The opportunity to work close to his romantic interest led to a number of instances where they saved each other from seemingly certain destruction. The two had relations prior but only proposed after Vizs was captured by Republic forces on Columex and was rescued by Vendedicus. As the two fought past masses of Republic and native security forces Vendedicus asked Vizs to marry her which, after emptying a round of blasterbolts into the battledroid bearing down on them, he accepted.
Vizs would continue to serve the Dread Guard beyond the Master’s capture and as the resources devoted to the group bled into other parts of the Empire Vizs remained at Vanguardius’ side in his quest to find and free the Dread Masters from their prison.

Like his fiances Vendedicus, when Vanguardius disappeared he rejoined the mainstream Imperial forces in the remainder of the Great Galactic War and the following Cold War. It wasn’t until the Master’s return and eventual betrayal that he and his wife would attempt to redeem themselves by hunting down the Dread Guard defectors including Vanguardius’ crew, who they assumed was still operating under them.

Vizs and his wife were eventually convinced that their former allies were on the same side and followed the trail of the Masters to Oricon where they fought the multitude of alchemical creations and mechanical monstrosities they’d collected for on their behalf over the years.

Weapons and Equipment:

Vizs uses an array of equipment to take down his enemies- he's especially fond of grenades, explosives, and his favorite:

E-102x Spec Ops Disintegrator-
Used extensively by the Great Galactic War-era Dread Guard, the E-102x is a multipurpose repeater rifle that fits between an assault cannon and a blaster rifle. The E102x is armed with three barrels ready to spew out a torrent of blaster bolts and a massive internal ammo pack containing enough power for 322 shots at it's most efficient setting. Vizs was oftentimes the assault gunner on his missions, rarely using stealth or subterfuge on his quests. On almost all E-102x's is equipped a detpack towards the front of the blaster used for explosive entry or scuttling equipment to prevent its capture. Vizs became a master at using this one-time-use weapon, often setting the timer to a set amount and using his strength to toss the charge over enemy positions- timing it to airburst above them.
