In the late 21st Century, shortly after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Computer Information Technology degree, Michael Thomson contracts a genetically altered HIV. The HIV has been altered by an eco-terrorist group to make it airborne and, as a result, infect all humans on earth. Their goal is to cause the extinction of the human race to allow a more "enlightened" species who will take care of the earth arise. Fortunately for Michael, he was an intern with a professor who was studying stasis and had had some success, although he'd never attempted to put a living creature in stasis. Michael volunteers to be his first living subject.
