Absolutely no tracing involved. Photoshop was used solely as the paper for drawing on with my Bamboo pad and stylus. No fancy PS effects were used. I estimate the total time working on this to be about 160 hours.

My parents, or rather my father and stepmother, are always giving. Giving everything -- time, love, energy. To everyone around them. I, for one, can never adequately articulate how grateful I am to them. I wanted to give them something back. Something with worth, that would last.

I don't think that I will be doing another still life piece for a long, long time. Its too time-consuming. I just want to go back to what I truly love to do, which is draw cartoons and anthro.
