Concept doodle I decided to make. It's messy, but I kinda feel like that helps.

"Blood magic is already an uncomfortable idea to people; magic in itself can often be really dodgy at times, but putting in the hands of mages who really want to push what you can do and you're gonna end up with results like that. The Renvalk Alliance, however, finds use in such a practice; they call those soldiers 'Sanctioned Blood Witches'.

Useful as they might be, even I think they don't fully trust them. For one, they make sure they can be easily told apart from the normal mages; robes made of tattered leather, lined with matted fur and teeth...the look is very primal and strange. Not to mentioned they're required to have their phial out on display; just a big 'ol bottle of blood strapped to the side of their waist.

Not sure why they decided to make this a thing, just seems like a recipe for disaster. I just hope they're prepared for when one of those witches decides to let that power go to their head..."
