Things have changed a lot since the noughties for Edith too. Poor Gideon, whose heart was never too steady, is gone, and Prue's been distant in every way since leaving home. So quitting lonely London to help run a B&B in the countryside with an old friend seemed very appealing.
Not without strings attached. Edith ends up doing a lot of the actual cleaning and upkeep of this so-called B&B. And, having more or less destroyed her liver over the last two decades, Sibyl must have a driver for her trips to the hospital, and someone to keep the keys to any alcohol that the guests might bring or want... But she gets a lot of affection in return. And it's not as if there's so much she'd rather be doing.
