Finally got around to finishing my gemsona, Cat's Eye.
Some general info about Cat's Eye that's subject to change to work better with the canon:

• Cat's Eye is a deserter from Homeworld

• Consists of Beryl and Chrysocolla (play on the fact that Cat's Eye is chrysoberyl, though it has no actual relation to chrysocolla or beryl)

• Chrysocolla and Beryl met on the Homeworld. Beryl was collected off of an uncolonized planet during the beginning of the Gem War after being abandoned there several millenia prior. Beryl was unsocialized, returning to Homeworld only to be caged and experimented upon like an animal. Chrysocolla, a well-respected gem amongst her peers, was charged with Beryl's keeping. In time, Chrysocolla bonded with her charge, and despite thinking herself loyal to Yellow Diamond, she helped Beryl escape by fusing into Cat's Eye. After hearing news of the Rebellion on Earth, Cat's Eye escaped to the planet to circumvent punishment from Yellow Diamond. Cat's Eye did not fight alongside the Rebellion upon reaching Earth, and instead fled to northern Siberia and went into hiding. Upon seeing a recent broadcast from Peridot to Homeworld, Cat's Eye resurfaced, looking to exact revenge on the Homeworld Gems for the centuries Beryl spent as a lab experiment.

• Cat's Eye is not the most stable fusion. Between Chrysocolla's crippling fear of embarrassment and ridicule and Beryl's PTSD and feral nature, there are many reasons why Cat's Eye might separate. However that may be, these two gems are entwined by trust and the desire to protect one another. They have come to an understanding that a cat is both graceful and powerful.
