To those who don't know, I was born in Canada, but I am Greek so today is special to me. I am very proud of heritage and traditions behind it. On holidays, there is also a lot of family unity and eating. Lots of eating! For those of you who want to know what's on the table, it's tiropitakia (feta cheese pies made with phyllo), feta cheese, red wine, olives, souvlaki, Greek salad (cucumber, tomato, feta and olive oil), and yiayia here is holding a pan of moussaka (Greek style eggplant lasagne).
