just wanted to doodle up a starship ::chock

dunno if i am ever going to finish the scetch.
im not that familiar with futuristic mumbojumbo but here is some details anyway...

Due of the increasing demands to create weapon-system that would be effective against both corvette and frigate class spaceships as frigates almost always had corvette class fighters as escorts and still have reasonable maneuverability to keep distance of Fighters, the "Hauler" where designed and created. LC-20A Lauchdata indicates that is more than an answer to small groups of Corvettes and lone frigates. Downside is that it very inefective against fighter-class ships and yet lacking both range and firepower against cruiser or heavier ships. To keep ship cost-effective, advanced and expensive radar systems where removed and replaced by most basic short-range tracking systems.
Ideal tactic is to use squadron of 5-6 Haulers against small task-forces of frigates and small corvette escorts, fire missiles at max range towards frigate and flee while AI turrets takes possible corvette class pursuers out.

It has 4 small plasma turrets which has 360°/180° coverage placed on both sides of the 'wings' giving the ability to track and deliver constant fire upon target(s). each turret has the ability to track target with inbuilt AI targeting systems, but targets are ultimately chosen by gunman. Every turret is also covered with "shell" to give some level of protection from direct hits. Due of the size and mass of the turrets they are unable to effectively target fighters and rely more on cheer luck to hit fast targets. Slower corvette-class ships however pose little threat as turrets are designed against them.
there is however one major flaw in turret designs. If target passes "Hauler" directly from above or below, turrets lose their target for almost certain for few seconds until turret has turned around.

"Hauler" has also 2 dual mid-range missilebays desinged to fire HE-missiles. Bays self is able to hold 8 missiles each, summing 16 missiles in total. Inbuild 'barrier' disallows two missiles to be launched at the same time to prevent collision of missiles during launch.
Battery also has the ability to 'didch' the missiles out unfired, giving the ability to hide missiles amonght clusterfields or spacedepris, only to be activated and launched towards unaware targets which comes too close.
Missiles self are heavyexlosive Midranged (150km) and thought has better change hitting the fighters than Plasmaturrets, they are desinged to anti-Frigate actions.

To aswer the increased mass from heavier weaponry and size than it's 'little brother' second iondriver where installed and more powerful afterburners. Due of the oversized drivers and too small heat-sinks "Hauler" is only able to use afterburners short periods of time without causing driver failure and furthermore damaging the drivers, potentially causing the ship to drift uncontrolled.
"Hauler" has also designed to have atmosphere entry on planets but ship self isn't designed on atmospheric warfare except the role of bomber. It has very poor maneuverability on aerial combat and without computers of taking proper adjustments of pilot's commands, it would be impossible to fly.

Corvette class ships are unable to house hyper-drive engines due of both massive size and energy demand.
