Splendens: A Fish/Salamander type hybrid creature that (like the platypus) is both mammalian and an egg layer. They're omnivores. Their body is covered in skin, not fur and feels similar to that of a dolphin or smooth lizard (depending on how long they've been out of water.) They live on land near water and come in all sorts of crazy colors. Oh and their stone thingies aren't actually stones but "skin pouches" that are hard. They glow, because bioluminescence is cool.

A species sheet with more stuff will come later because shoot... I'm tired XD
