I am a very big fan of Robert E. Howard's Conan, and I am fortunate enough to live in Texas and can go to Howard Days every summer. My mongoose barbarian character is not directly inspired by Conan, and is a very different character, but after reading Howard's work, I can see it is impossible to separate his influence from every writer who has written action fantasy since.

So, in the shadow of the Howard house, in Cross Plains, Texas, I drew Howard's most iconic character, and had the gall to toss my own in, as well. Think they'd get along? Well, maybe for a little while, at least.
